Glory of Geetaa's Chapter 15

Mahaadev Jee said - "O Paarvatee, Now you listen to the glory of Geetaa's 15th chapter. There was a King named Kripaan Narasinh in Gaud Desh. He was very good at war, so good that even Devtaa were afraid of him. His wise Army Chief was very good at Shaastra etc. At one time that sinner thought that he should kill the King along with his sons, but after a while he died and was born as a horse in Sindhu Desh. A Vaishya's son who knew the horses well, bought that horse and brought him to the capital. In fact he bought that horse to give to the King. Although he was known to the King, still he informed the King about his arrival and told that he wanted to give him a horse whom he bought from Sindhu Desh. The King permitted to bring that horse. Seeing him the King got very happy, because that horse was very good; and he bought it giving the Vaishya's son gold as much he wanted.

After a few days, the King went for hunting on the same horse. He saw a deer and followed him. The horse was running so fast that his all soldiers were left behind. The King came  very far following the deer. He got thirsty, so he got down from the horse, tied his horse with a tree and started searching for water. He was climbing on a rock. Suddenly he saw a leaf fallen on the rock by a blow of wind. Half Shlok of Geetaa's 15th chapter was written on it. The King started reading it. As he read it, the horse immediately fell down and attained Mukti from horse Yoni. He rode on a Divine Vimaan and went to Swarg.

The King continued to climb on the rock. He found an Aashram of a Muni on the top of the rock. Many kinds of trees were growing there. A Braahman was sitting inside the Aashram. He asked that Braahman with great devotion - "Brahman, My horse went to Swarg just now, what is the reason of it?" The Braahman's name was Vishnu Sharmaa. He said - "Raajan, Some time ago you had an Army Chief, named Sarabh Merund, he wanted to take your kingdom after killing you and your sons. In the meantime, he died with cholera. Because of the same sin he was born as horse. You got half Shlok of Geetaa's 15th chapter, you started reading it. Hearing that only he attained the Swarg Lok.

The King's soldiers also came there, so the King returned to his city. On the way he read that half Shlok several times with joy. After coming home he crowned his son Sinhbal as the King and he himself attained Moksh by doing Jaap of 15th chapter of Geetaa."

Glory of Geetaa's Chapter 16

Mahaadev Jee said - "Paarvatee Jee, Now I tell you the glory of Geetaa's 16th chapter. There is a city named Sauraashtra in Gujaraat. Its King's name was Khangbaahu. He had an elephant who was always intoxicated with liquor. His name was Arimardan. One night, suddenly he broke closed doors and came out. Elephant drivers were trying to frightening him but in anger he had broken his house. The elephant drivers themselves were frightened by this, so the King came and looked at him for a while. At the same time a Mahaatmaa was passing through that way after taking bath. He was doing Jaap f a few Shloks of Geetaa's 16th chapter. People stopped them to take that way because of that elephant, but he was not afraid of him. He just touched his liquor which he was spitting out and went away.

The King and the citizens got very surprised to see this. The King asked that Mahaatmaa - Mahaatman, How did you pass through his way without any fear? Which Devtaa do you worship? Or which Siddhi have you attained?" Braahman said - "Raajan, I do Jaap of a few Shlok of Geetaa's 16th chapter, the same has given me this power. The King left the elephant there only and brought that Braahman to his palace. He satisfied him with Dakshinaa and took Deekshaa of Geetaa Mantra. He practiced of those Mantra and then one day he asked his people to open loose that elephant again. He touched his head and came back safely. Then he crowned his son as the King and went to forest. He attained Moksh after some time."

Glory of Geetaa's Chapter 17

Mahaadev Jee said - "Hey Paarvatee, Now you listen to the glory of Geetaa's chapter 17. Khangbaahu's son's name was Dushaasan. He had a servant. He was very wicked. Once Dushaasan rode an elephant betting a large sum of money. After a while in spite of warned by others he made some noise for the elephant, hearing which he got agitated. Dushaasan fell down and the elephant bounced him up. He again fell down and died. He was born as an elephant and passed his most time at the King of Sinhal Dweep palace.

Now Sinhal Dweep's King was a good friend of Khangbaahu, so he sent that elephant to please his friend Khangbaahu through waterways. One day the King got pleased with a poet, so he gave that elephant to that poet. Than poet sold him to the King of Maalav taking 100 gold coins. After some time the elephant got critically ill, so his caretakers told this to the King. The King called some doctors and came to the place where the elephant was. As the elephant saw him, he forgot about his illness and spoke - "O Gyaanee Mahaaraaj, what these medicines are going to work? These doctors will not be able to do anything. Please call some Brahman who can do Jaap of 17th chapter of Geetaa.

The King did the same. As soon as the Braahman sprinkled the Abhimantri water after doing Paath of 17th chapter of Geetaa, the elephant (Dushaasan) left his body and attained Mukti. The King asked him - "What was your caste in your previous life? What was your form? How was your conduct? What was your Karm which caused you to be born as elephant?" Dushaasan told him everything. After that Maalav's King also started doing Jaap of 17th chapter of Geetaa."

Glory of Geetaa's Chapter 18

Paarvatee Jee said - "Bhagavan, You have told the glory of 17th chapter of Geetaa, now you tell the glory of 18th chapter." Shiv Jee said - "Hey Girinandinee, Listen. This is better than Ved. It has the capacity to destroy A-Vidyaa (ignorance). Just its reading only can shut the noise of Yam Doot. There is no other discourse than this which can relieve people from their all kinds of sorrows and sins.

On the top of Meru Parvat, there is a city named Amaraavatee. It was built by Vishwakarmaa. Devtaa's King Indra lives there with his wife Shachee. One day they were just sitting comfortably, that they saw a stranger coming with Vishnu's messenger. His Tej (power) was so much that Indra got weaker in front of him and he fell down. Indra's servants kept Indra's crown on his head and he became the new Indra. Thus he became Indra without doing 100 Yagya. Seeing this old Indra got very surprised. He thought - "He has not done any Punya, not done any Daan, then how did he get all this without doing anything." Thinking thus he went to Vishnu and told Him everything. Bhagavaan said - "Indra, He does Jaap of 5 Shlok of Geetaa's 18th chapter daily. Because of its Punya he has got your kingdom. f you do the same you can also attain that status."

Indra went to the bank of Gdaavaree in disguise of a Braahman. There was a city named Kaalikaa Graam where Bhagavaan Kaaleshwar lives. There was sitting a pious Braahman. He used to do Jaap of Geetaa's 18th chapter. Indra bowed his head on his feet and read the 18th chapter there and because of its Punya he attained Vishnu's Saayujya. Indra etc status are verly low, thinking thus he went to Vaikunth Dhaam. Whoever listens to this he washes his all sins."
