Birth of Krishn

In earlier times who was the Lord of people, the same appeared as Krishn. In their earlier life Vasudev and Devakee did Tapasyaa that is how they got Krishn in this life. Krishn appeared in Chaturbhuj form. Seeing His Divine form Vasudev said - "Hide your this form because I am very frightened from Kans." At this Bhagavaan hid His Divine form and at the order of Krishn he took Him to Nand's house and said - "Take care of this child. He is Bhagavaan Himself. He will not kill anybody until there will be enough sins on Prithvi. He will work as Saarathee to Arjun in Mahaabhaarat war and in the end He will take all Yadu Vanshee to Dev Lok."

Bheeshm asked - "Who were these Vasudev and Devakee who gave birth to Bhagavaan; and Nand and Yashodaa who brought Him up." Pulastya Jee said - "Vasudev is Kashyap and Devakee is Aditi. Kashyap is Brahmaa's Ansh and Aditi is Ansh of Prithvi. Nand is Drone * named Vasu and Yashoda is his wife Dharaa. Nobody was doing Yagya etc, nobody was following Dharm, so Krishn appeared in Vrishni Vansh to kill sinful Asur.

Rukminee, Satyabhaamaa, Satyaa (or Naagnjitee - Nagnjit's daughter), Sumitraa, Shaibyaa, Gaandhaar princess Lakshmanaa, Subheemaa, Madra princess Kaushalyaa, Virajaa etc 16,000 ** women are Krishn's wives. Rukminee had 10 sons - Pradyumn, Ranshoor, Chaarudeshn, Suchaaru, Chaarubhadra, Sadashwa, Hriswa, Chaarugupt, Charubhadra, Chaaruk, and Chaaruhaas; and one daughter Chaarumatee

Principal Yaadav Vanshee were 36 million (3 Crore 60 Lakh) in number. The Asur who were killed in Dev-Asur war were born on Prithvi and were troubling all. That is why Krishn had to come on Prithvi. There were 101 families of Yaadav in which all Devtaa were born. Krishn was the Lord of all Yaadav. They were happily living under the guidance of Krishn."

* 2-Padm, 1/7 does not mention Drone's name as Vasu while mentioning the names of 8 Vasu as the 8 sons of Daksh's daughter Vasu's sons.

** This is well known that Krishn had 16,008 queens. Eight were His own queens, while 16,000 princess were brought from Bhaumaasur's palace. When Krishn had killed him, He found those princes in his prison. Upon freeing them they expressed their desire to marry Krishn, so brought them to Dwaarakaa and and married to them a the same time.
