Sphoot Lagna Navaansh
Take the degrees of a Planet which has traversed the greatest degrees in a
Sign, add them to the degrees of Moon, divide the sum by 9, the remainder
represents the Sphoot Lagna Navaansh. For example: in a chart Moon has
traversed 29 degrees. So adding Moon degrees to it, it comes 58. Dividing
it by 9 leaves the remainder 4 - therefore Kark (Cancer) is the Sphoot
Lagna Navaansh.
Star
A star is a single star. The constellation consists of several stars. A
Galaxy consists of billions of constellations. The universe consists of
billions of Galaxies.. A Nakshatra is a constellation but every

definition, meaning and purpose in Indian Vaidik astrology.

Stotra, normally ending with expressions like 'pranamyamham' I bow to thee
or 'sharanamyamham' .. I come to thy shelter. No person can be better
pleased than by telling him that I seek your shelter or that I bow to you.
When a planet is otherwise strong and needs being appeased, it is advisable
to recite the Stotra. In case the planet is rather weak then it is advised
to recite the Beej Mantra. Both the Stotra and the Beej Mantra can be used
for the same problem. Both of them are planet specific and not problem specific.
If advised, both can be used for the same problem.
