Vedhaa Star |
Vedhaa Star [From Fundamentals of Astrology/ M Ramakrishna Bhat, p 251-252] See also Muhoort-1 Saadhanaa Taaraa Although there are varieties of good and bad effects of a planet during his transit, but before knowing that one should understand Vedh - which means piercing in literal parlance, but here it means "undoing" or "cancellation". For every birth star there is a close relationship with other stars. To know this relationship you have to make a Sapt Shalaakaa diagram like the following. In the following Sapt Shalaakaa diagram, you can note that
Some stars face one another, such as Krittikaa and Shravan, and Bharanee and Maghaa. This means that there is mutual affliction or VEDHA between these two stars. The idea is that if the natal star is Krittikaa; and if the Sun is transiting Shravan star, conclude that there is trouble for the native.
In this connection, you have to remember some other technical terms also -- So on a particular day or period, the Sun is transiting a star, which happens to be Vedha for one's natal star, then it indicates that there is danger to the life of the native. But suppose the star occupied at that time by the Sun happens to be Vedha not for natal star, but for Aadhaan star (19th star from the natal star), then the effect would be fear and anxiety. For example, for the natal star of Mrigshiraa, Vedh star is U-Ashaadhaa. If the Sun is transiting U-Ashaadhaa, there is danger life for him; but if the Sun is transiting not U-Ashaadhaa but Vishaakhaa, which is the Vedh for the star that is the 19th star from the natal star Mrigshiraa, ie Dhanishthaa, it becomes the Aadhaan, there will be fear or anxiety. Similarly, if the star tenanted by the Sun happens to be Vedh star for Karm star (10th star from the natal star) - there will be loss of money. In addition to the above, if the Sun is also conjoined with a malefic (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Raahu and Ketu) death will be the result. In the same manner, see also if other Malefics other than the Sun, occupy in transiting stars, which are Vedh for the three stars (natal, 10th and 19th) - the result will also be death. If both malefic and benefic planets transit such stars, there is no danger for life. Another Method See also if the natal star in any round synchronizes with the Sun's entry into another sign of Zodiac (Sankraanti). If it does, then the effect is very bad. It may be death or danger for the life. The same effect will take place if the same natal star in any round happens to synchronize with the change of the sign of any other planet.
