Hinduism in Scriptures

Hiranya-garbh
Hiranya means the golden color like of deer skin"
(1) Hiranya means gold and Garbh means womb, so Hiranya-garbh means Golden womb - birth of the Master from the golden-egg. Hiranya-garbh is the name of the primordial god;
(2) Hiranya-garbh is the name for the Atharv Vaidik ritual to initiate kings of other casts to make them Vaidik Kshatriya.
When a comparison is drawn between Hiranya and gold, gold refers to Varn, color, radiance, effulgence. Just the way Shikhee-greevaa in Rasaayan Shaastra (chemistry) refers not literally to the throat of a peacock but to the chemical that has that color, in the same way, Hiranya refers to something of the deer-skin color and not to the material itself. In fact gold itself is called so because of that color.

Horaa word has been taken from the two middle words of Aho-Raatra. This Horaa is called Hour in Western world.
