4-Divya Lagna

Before taking its definition, Yogad Graha should be determined.
A Planet is said to be Yogad Graha if
it aspects the Janm Lagna, either in the Raashi, Drekkaan and Navaansh Charts OR
in the Raashi and Navaansh charts, OR
in the Raashi and Drekkaan charts.

Keval Graha is the one which aspects the Janm Lagna only in Raashi chart.

Now to determine the Divya Lagna -
Add the degrees and minutes (leaving the Raashi) for both the Lord of Lagna and Yogad Planet. The sum, after dividing by 12 if necessary, gives the Divya Lagna.

If there is no Yogad Grahaa, take the Keval Grahaa. Moon will be considered if both (Yogad and Keval Grahaa) are absent in the chart.

This Lagna is used only in the horoscopes with Raaj Yog. For Example:

In a chart, 4 planets are aspecting Lagna - Saturn, Moon, Raahu and Ketu. Saturn is strong being in his own House - so Saturn is the Yogad Planet.
Now take the Sphoot positions (without Raashi) of Saturn and Mars (Lord of Lagna)
21/37 for Mars, and
13/05 for Saturn ---- their addition is 34/42 - which leaves a balance of 10/42 after both the numbers have been divided by 12; therefore Divya Lagna is the 11th Raashi - Aquarius.

Sphoot Lagna

Sphoot Lagna Navaansh
Take the degrees of a Planet which has traversed the greatest degrees in a Sign, add them to the degrees of Moon, divide the sum by 9, the remainder represents the Sphoot Lagna Navaansh. For example: in a chart Moon has traversed 29 degrees. So adding Moon degrees to it, it comes 58. Dividing it by 9 leaves the remainder 4 - therefore Kark (Cancer) is the Sphoot Lagna Navaansh.

If Sphoot Navaansh Lagna is aspected either by exalted or debilitated or benefic Planet, it creates Raaj Yog.
