A mouse was
wandering around in a farmland that he looked through the crack of the farmhouse
in a wall. What he saw was out of his understanding. He saw that the farmer and
his wife were opening a package.
Retreating to the farmyard quickly, the mouse proclaimed the warning. The
mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house,
there is a mousetrap in the house!" Now the
mouse turned to the cow and said - "O cow, There is a mousetrap in the
house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" So, the
mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's
mousetrap alone. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see what was it. In fact it was a venomous snake whose tail was caught in the trap. As she came near the trap, the snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. So he caught the chicken, made its soup and gave it to his wife, but it did not work as it should have worked. So his wife's sickness continued. His many friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife was not getting well and she died. So many people came for her funeral, and the farmer had to slaughter the cow to provide enough meat for all of them. The mouse was still looking upon the whole affair from his crack in the wall with great sadness. REFLECTION
