1. Geetaa shaastram idam punyam, Ya pathet prayata Pumaan,
Vishno padam avapnothi Bhaya Shokaadi Vrajet

That gentleman who reads with humility, The science of Geetaa which is blessed,
Would reach the feet of Lord Vishnu, And would be bereft of sorrow and fear

2. Geetaa Adhyaaya sheelasya, Praanaayaam paraasya cha,
Naive shaanti hi paapaani, Poorv janma kritaani cha.

He who makes reading of Geetaa a Habit, And also practices the Praanaayaam (breathing exercise)
Is not affected by sins, even those of previous births.

3. Mala nirmochanam punsaam, Jal snaanan dine dine,
Sakud Geetam bhasi snaanam, Sansaar mala naashanam.

People have to take bath, In the water day after to remove dirt,
But by taking bath once in the waters of Geetaa, He can get rid of the dirt accumulated by the domestic life.

4. Geeta, sugeeta kartavya, Kim anyai shaastra vistaaraihi,
Yaa swayam Padmanaabhasya, Mukh padmad vinishrut.

It is our duty to sing the Geetaa, Which originated from the mouth,
Of Padmanaabh lying on a lotus flower, And there is no need for any other Shaastra in detail.

5. Bhaarat Amrit Sarvaswam,  Vishnor vaktraad vini shrutam,
Geeta Gangodakam peethwaa,  Punarjanma na vidyate.

Geetaa which is the entire nectar of Mahaabhaarat, Is the one which fell out in the words of Lord Vishnu himself,
And so if you drink Geetaa which is like the sacred waters of Gangaa,  You would not have one more birth.

6. Sarvo upanishado Gavo, Dogdha Gopaal Nandan,
Partho vatsah Sudheer bhoktax,  Dugdham Geetaa amritam mahat.

All the Upanishad are cows, The one who is to milk them is the boy Gopaal,
Arjun is the calf and those who have pure intellects are consumers, And the milk is the great nectar of Bhagwad Geetaa.

7. Yekam shaastram , Devakee putra Geetam,  Yeko devaa Devakee putra yev,
Yeko mantra tasya namaani yaani, Karmaapi yekam tasya devasya seva.

The only religious book is Geetaa by the son of Devakee,  The only one God is the son of Devakee herself,
The only chant is the name of him, himself,  And the only job is to service to that God.
