On the way to Panchvatee, they met a huge vulture. First they thought that he was also a Raakshas. Raam asked him politely - "Brother, Who are you?" The vulture also replied sweetly - "I am your father's friend." Knowing him as their father's friend, Raam worshipped him with respect, then asked about his Vansh (lineage) and name. He told his name and Vansh and told about how the creation began. He said - "Hey Raam Whatever Raajaa have been so far, I tell you about all of them.

Among all Prajaapati, the first Prajapati was Kardam Rishi. After him were Shesh and Sanshraya with many children. Then Sthaanu, Mareechi, Atri, Kratu, Pulastya, Angiraa, Prachetaa, and Pulah, Daksh, Vivaswaan, were there as Prajaapati. Then was Arishtnemi and the last one was Kashyap Jee.

Now Raajaa Daksh had 60 daughters. Among them, his eight daughters - Aditi, Diti, Danu, Kaalakaa, Taamraa, Krodhvashaa, Manu and Analaa, were married to Kashyap Jee. He said to them - "You produce sons like me who can take care of Trilok. His four wives - Aditi, Diti, Danu and Kaalakaa, accepted this but the remaining three wives didn't listen to him. So the first wife Aditi produced 33 Devtaa (12 Aaditya - Sun god; 8 Vasu - Parantap, Vaaraah, Aaditya etc; 11 Rudra - Fury gods; 2 Ashwinee Kumaar - medicinal gods), Diti gave birth to Daitya (Raakshas). Hey Raam, Before this the whole Prithvi, forests etc were under them.

Remaining three wives produced sons like this : Danu gave birth Ashwagreev (also known as Hayagreev); Kaalakaa produced Narak and Kaalak two sons; Taamraa produced Kraunchee, Bhaasee, Shyenee, Dhritraashtree and Shukee named five daughters.

Now these five girls produced children like this: Kraunchee produced owls; Bhaasee produced Bhaasaa (birds of prey); Shyenee produced Shyenaa (vultures) and Shyen (eagles); 

Dhritraashtree produced all kinds of swans and Kalhans (another variety of swan) and Chakavaa. Shukee produced Nataa girl. Nataa produced Vinataa girl.

Hey Raam, Krodhvashaa produced 10 daughters - Mrigee, Mrigmandaa, Haree, Bhadramandaa (elephant species), Maatangaa, Shardoolee, Shwetaa, Surabhi, Surasaa and Kadroo who were all qualitative. Mrigee produced a Hiran she-deer. Mrigmandaa produced bears, wild cows, Chamar (like Himalayan Yak). Bhadramandaa produced a daughter named Iraavatee and a son named Airaavat - world's leading great elephant.

Haree produced lions and intelligent Vaanar and baboons. Shardoolee produced tigers. Maatangee produced Matang (elephants). Shwetaa produced Dishaagaj. Surabhi produced two daughters Rohinee and Gandharvee. Rohinee produced cows and Gandharvee produced horses and Surasaa produced Naag. Kadroo produced ordinary snakes.

Hey Raam, Manu produced Manushya (human beings). Analaa produced trees with fruits. Surasaa produced ordinary snakes and Kadroo produced thousands of Naag (including Aadi Shesh Naag who is the bearer of Prithvi) and Vinataa, the daughter of Nataa - the daughter of Shukee, produced Garud and Arun. Hey Raam, I am the son of same Arun and my name is Jataayu. I have an elder brother too whose name is Sampaati and we belong to Shyenee Vansh. Hey Raam I will protect you in every way. When you and Lakshman will go out I will protect Seetaa guarding the hut."

So Raam and Lakshman and Seetaa proceeded towards Panchvatee along with Jataayu to kill Raakshas.

When Raam and Lakshman arrived in Panchvatee, they saw many violent animals. Raam said to Lakshman - "This is the same Panchvatee about which Muni told us. It is full of fruits and flowers. Now look for some place where we can build our Aashram. We should build it where we all can live happily and comfortably; and can get water, wood, fruits and flowers as well."

Lakshman said to Raam in presence of Seetaa - "Hey Swaamee, I am only your Daas (servant). I have offered myself to you, maybe for hundreds of years. Whatever place you like most, tell me that." Raam got very pleased hearing this, so He found one flat place which met all His needs and said to Lakshman - "This is a flat place. Fruits and flowers are also nearby, you may build a hut here customarily (according to Vaastu Shaastra). Water is also here in which lotus flowers are blooming. This is Godaavaree Gangaa about which Agastya Muni told us. Many kinds of trees are also here. We will live here along with Jataayu."

Lakshman soon built a beautiful strong hut with beautiful bamboo, straw and leaves work. He covered it with Kush Kaans leaves. He strengthened it with Shamee tree creepers. Then Lakshman took bath in Godaavaree and came back to hut with some lotus flowers and fruits. He officially opened it by sacrificing flowers, then He showed the Aashram to Raam. Raam and Seetaa got very happy to see that hut.

Raam hugged Lakshman and said - "O knower of others feelings, your own duties and Dharm Lakshman, You have built a very beautiful hut. I should have rewarded you for this, but I don't have any other thing except this embrace. I am very pleased with you. Seeing my father's son like you, I do not remember my father because you are like him [taking care of me]." And they started living there.

Prajaapati
Appointed by Brahmaa Jee, he takes care of the whole world like a king.

Shamee Tree
A kind of tree. Paandav also kept their weapons on Shamee tree when they went to spend Agyaatvaas at Viraat's place.
