General Thoughts-1 |
Small worries are worst when we are idle and are often dispersed
by motion like a flock of gnats.
When the heart dares to speak it needs no preparations.
Its no use complaining of boredom when you don't do anything about it. If we treat people too long with that pretended liking is called politeness
One may go wrong in many different ways, but right only in one, which
is why it is easy to fail and difficult to succeed - easy to miss the
target and difficult to hit it.
Better to write of laughter than of tears. Because to laugh is
proper to the man.
Some people fall for everything and stand for nothing. --John Dewey Never break four things in life - Trust, Promise, Relation and Heart. These break without noise, but pain a lot
Thoughts lead on to purposes; purposes go forth in action; actions form
habits; habits decide character; and character fixes our destiny." Humblest we must be, if to heaven we go,
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high,
England has two books, the Bible and the Shakespeare. England made Shakespeare,
but the Bible made England.
The Cross is "I" crossed out.
Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped.
"Change alone is eternal, perpetual, immortal."
Nothing can be worse than that moment during an argument, when you realize that you're wrong.
Pompous fools drive me up the wall. Ordinary fools are alright;
you can talk to them and try to help them out. But pompous fools who are
fools and are covering it all over and impressing people as to how wonderful
they are with all this hocus-pocus THAT I CANNOT STAND! An ordinary fool is
not a faker. An honest fool is alright. But a dishonest fool is terrible!
There are two kinds of fool - One says, "This is old, and therefore
good." And one says, "This is new, and therefore better."
