Alaaddeen and his wife had lived happily for several years. Meanwhile the magician also did not sit silent. He was sure that Alaaddeen must have died there in the cave, still he wanted to be dead sure, so he took out a magic square covered box, leveled the sand kept in it, drew a horoscope in it and found that Alaaddeen had escaped and was living happily and honorably with his wife. He knew that Alaadeen must have discovered the secret of the lamp and was using it. He thought that either he will perish him and or will perish himself.

So he came to the capital of China again and came to know everything about Alaaddeen and he became sure that it was all lamp's work. He also found out that the lamp was in Alaaddeen's palace. He thought he could get it from there. But Alaaddeen had gone for hunting only three days ago for eight days. The magician bought 12 new lamps, put them in a basket and went to sell them - "Anybody wants to exchange his old lamp with a new lamp?" Alaaddeen's wife also heard this. One of her maids said - "We have an old lamp on a shelf, if you like to exchange it with a new one." "Oh sure, where is it?" The maid brought the lamp and the Princess asked her servant to exchange it with a new one.

When she went to the magician carrying the old lamp to exchange with a new lamp, the magician jumped with happiness. This was the lamp he was looking for. He snatched the lamp from her and gave the whole basket to her. The magician then came to a far place from the city and waited till night fell. In the dark he rubbed the lamp and when Genie appeared before him, he asked him to transport himself and the palace he built along with everything in it to a place in Africa. The Genie obeyed his master.

Next day when the Sultaan got up in the morning, he saw an empty place instead of his daughter's palace. He could not think that how such a large palace could disappear overnight. He called his Vazeer to see what he saw, but the Vazeer also saw the same what the Sultaan saw. The Vazeer said to the Sultaan - "Sir, I told you before that this palace was the work of magic and a magician, but you wouldn't listen to me at all." The Sultaan got very angry at this and shouted - "Where is he, I will cut his head. Send some people to bring him."

The Vazeer sent some people to bring him and very soon they got him returning from his hunting trip and told him that the Sultaan wanted to see him immediately. Alaaddeen didn't have the least suspicion of what was going on. People put a chain around his neck and took him to the Sultaan. Innocent Alaaddeen did not know his crime. As he was brought to the Sultaan, the Sultaan ordered his man to cut Alaaddeen's head. The man waited for his order. At the same time people of the town forced the Sultaan to release Alaaddeen, so the Sultaan ordered the man to free Alaaddeen and declared that the Sultaan had pardoned Alaaddeen.

Alaaddeen approached the Sultaan and asked him what his crime was? The Sultaan said angrily - "Crime? Come here and see yourself." Alaaddeen went in the palace and upstairs. The Sultaan asked him - "Where is your palace?" Alaaddeen looked around, he also couldn't see his palace. He said - "I can see that it is not there, but I really don't know where it has gone." The Sultaan said - "I don't mind your palace, but tell me where is my daughter? Find her otherwise I will cut your head." Alaaddeen said - "Please give me 40 days. If I will not be able to find out her, I will be here again in your service." He asked everybody in the town whether they had seen his palace, but everybody laughed at hearing his question and thought that he had gone mad.

He could not live in the city in this unhappy condition so he left the city and came to a riverside. He thought to commit suicide, so he first thought to say his prayers. He went to the river to wash his hands but as he was washing his hands he slipped in the river, but luckily he did not drown in it, he just fell down on a rock. In this process he rubbed his ring so hard that its Genie appeared before him and asked as before "What do I do for you? I am the slave of who have the ring on their finger." Alaaddeen had completely forgotten about the ring Genie, so as he appeared before him, he was surprised to see him, but said in a composed way - "Genie, Save my life by showing my palace or bringing it back where it was standing." Genie said - "Sorry, What you are asking me is not in my power, you must ask this from the Genie of the lamp." "Then can you take me to the place where my palace is right now?" Genie took him right under the window of the princess instantly.

It was night and he had not sleep for several days, so he sat down under a tree, and slept soon. He figured out that all this had happened because he put his lamp out of his sight. But he did not know who did this. He came near the window and was peeping inside, that a maid saw him and reported him to the Princess. The Princess came and was very happy to see her husband. She asked him to use the private door to come inside. Alaaddeen went in and asked her - "O Princess, For your own, your father's and my sake, just tell me what happened to that old lamp which I kept on the shelf of the hall with 24 windows." "I am sorry, It is all this because of that lamp and I am responsible for it." "No, It was my mistake, but tell me to whom you have given it?" Then she told him the story of exchanging the old lamp with new lamp, and coming to this place just next morning. She had heard that the person was from Africa.

Alaaddeen had got enough information so he asked her - "Princess, Tell me one thing more, do you know where he has put that lamp." Princess told him that he always kept it with him, because he showed it to her once. She also told him that he used to visit her once a day just to change her mind from her husband to himself. Alaaddeen thought of a plan and then he said to her - "I go to town, I will come back by noon. But keep in mind that you leave the private door open."

He went to the town, bought half a dram powder and came back immediately to his palace. He said to the Princess - "Now listen to my plan. When that magician comes, you should receive him in one of your finest clothes very warmly. Invite him for dinner and serve some best quality wine. When he goes to fetch wine for you, you put this powder in one cup and keep it near you. Drink as much as you wish then ask your maid to bring that special cup for you. Then replace his cup with this one. As soon he will drink wine from this cup he will be unconscious. I will take care of the rest." After instructing her this way, he went away from there and stayed near by the palace till late night.

After Alaaddeen had left, the Princess dressed herself in her best attire and waited for the magician. When he came, she showed her best manners to him which she had never showed before. The magician got very surprised to see the Princess' changed behavior. He was more surprised when she said to him - "I think you are right, I should leave hope for my husband and accept you as my husband. I request you to come tonight for dinner and as I have no African wine, I would like to taste some." Magician said - "Oh, Africa has one of the best wines, let me bring some for you myself." And he immediately left to bring wine. The Princess asked him to come back soon. In the meantime the Princess put the powder into a special cup.

Soon magician returned with the wine, and both sat to eat the best dinner. After the food they started drinking wine. She said - "Oh, I have never tasted such a good wine before. I drink it for your health." Then she asked her maid to bring that special cup for her. She filled that cup with the wine and exchanged it with the magician's. Both drank their cup to the last drop. As the magician finished his wine, he fell down on the couch unconscious. Alaaddeen immediately came from the same private door. The Princess was very happy to see him that she wanted to embrace him, but he said - "Wait a little more. First we have to go back to China. Leave me alone for a few moments." All left the room. Alaaddeen locked the room, took out the lamp from the magician's pocket, rubbed it and asked Genie to transport the palace back to the same place where it stood before. Genie did it almost immediately. Then they ate food and drank African wine.

The Sultaan was very worried about her daughter, he could not sleep even properly. But then suddenly one day he was surprised to see the same palace on its own place. The Sultaan could not resist himself to see his daughter so he rode his horse and came to the palace immediately. Alaaddeen knew what would happen so he got up early that morning, got ready in his one of the finest robes. He came to welcome his father-in-law, but the Sultaan wished to see his daughter first. Alaaddeen took him to his daughter. Sultaan asked her to tell him everything truly. The Princess told him everything from exchanging the lamp till coming here. Alaaddeen said - "If you don't believe us, you may go down and see the magician lying there dead." The Sultaan saw down and he really found the magician dead. Alaaddeen said - "When you have time I will tell you another incident of his evil action."

The Sultaan was very happy to receive his daughter and son-in-law back.
