Whose Son Was Abhimanyu?
MBH says that Abhimanyu was the son of Chandramaa, but we have never heard of his mother Subhadraa having any contact with Chandramaa, as Kuntee and Maadree had the contacts with Soorya, Indra, Dharm and Ashwinee Kumaar.

At one place it is said that he was the son of Varchas who himself was Chandramaa's son - this means that he was not Chandramaa's son, but was rather Chandramaa's grandson. But we have never heard of any son of Chandramaa with the name of Varchas. Of course we know only one son named Budh who was from Brihaspati's wife Taaraa.

Soorya had a lots of Varchas (Tej) so his wife could not tolerate him, and her father Vishwakarmaa had to trim Soorya's Tej.  A girls was born from that trimmed Varchas and was named as Suvarchalaa whom Soorya Dev married to Hanumaan ( read this story) It means that Varchas means Tej, and we have never heard of such Tej of Chandramaa from which he had a son named Varchas who had produced a son named Abhimanyu.
