Draupadee's Marriage to Five Paandav

So Paandav and Kuntee arrived in Drupad's palace. Drupad received them with great excitement and happiness. Kuntee went to women's palace with Draupadee and Drupad took the five Braahman to the place where they were to marry Draupadee. Drupad again looked at their walking style and other things, they indeed didn't look like Braahman. They were seated comfortably on seats covered with rich material. Drupad said - "We don't know anything about you, except that you all are brave. Please tell us about yourself." Yudhishthir thought that this was the time to reveal themselves, so he said - "We are not Braahman. We are all Kshatriya. We are the sons of Paandu. I am Yudhishthir, This is Bheem, and who won Draupadee is Arjun, and these two are Nakul and Sahadev. I assure you that your daughter will be happy in our house."

Drupad couldn't speak a word because of joy, and Dhrishtdyumn rose up immediately and embraced Bheem. Drupad again said - "I don't know what to say, but I am so happy to see you all alive. Please tell me how you escaped from that special palace, and what you have been doing all these days?" Yudhishthir told them everything. Drupad offered them his kingdom and said - "You need not to fear Kaurav any more, we are here for your help. Now we must hurry to marry Draupadee to Arjun."

Yudhishthir said - "I am the eldest son of Paandu, so I have to be married first." Drupad said - "If this is the case you are certainly welcome to marry my daughter. I will feel greatly honored." Yudhishthir again said - "Please do not be surprised at my proposal, but we all will marry Draupadee." Although Drupad did not like this proposal, but at the same time he did not want to offend the powerful Paandav also, he said - "But this is against Dharm, it is immoral, it is wrong." Yudhishthir said - "I can understand your plight. It is not our custom also for a woman to have more than one husband, but we are different. We have always shared everything, and nothing comes between us, nothing can separate us. And then there is our mother . She has never told a lie. When we went home, she said - "Share your alms". I have heard about several Rishi who have shared a woman. The daughter of Rishi Jatil had seven husbands and there are some other instances too. So I don't think that this is not according to Dharm." Drupad was not satisfied with these dumb arguments; he was in a flux, as what he should do.

The then Vyaas Jee came there. Drupad welcomed him and told about his dilemma. Vyaas Jee said - "That is why I have come here. Although it is true what Drupad says. It is not common for a woman to have more than one husband in recent times, but there is some permission of Divine beings in this marriage. Draupadee, in her previous birth prayed Shankar Bhagavaan, and he granted her five husbands in her next life. I know the secret, I am not allowed to tell that secret what it is, but you take my word and marry her to five Paandav." Drupad had to be satisfied with this argument of Rishi Vyaas.

So on one auspicious day, when Moon was in conjunction with the star Rohinee, Paandav married Draupadee. With Drupad and Krishn at their side now Paandav need not to fear from Kaurav. They spent some happy days at Drupad's place.
