Here are the brief description of all the 51 Shakti Peeth given on Shakti Peeth Page-2. Here their number are corresponding with Page-2, but some of them are not matching.

(1) Sri Lankaa:
Her feet bells (Noopur) fell here and the idols are Devee as Indrakshee and Shiv as Raakshaseshwar. Indraakshee was created and worshipped by Indra in person.

(2) Shiv Harkaraaya or Karaveepur: Paakistaan
Devee's three eyes fell here and the idols are Devee as Mahishmardinee (Durgaa the destroyer of Mahishaasur) and Shiv as Krodhesh (the one who can be angry). It is near Karaachee in Paakistaan, by rail the nearest station is Parkai.

(4) Kashmeer: India
Devee's neck fell here and the idols are of Devee as Mahaamaayaa (the great Illusion) and Shiv as Trisandhyeshwar. The famous pilgrimage is Amarnaath. There is a Shiv Ling of glacial ice which expands and contracts with the seasons.

(6) Jallandhar: India
Devee's right breast fell here and the idols are of Devee as Tripurmaalinee (Durgaa) and Shiv as Bheeshan (Gruesome). Jwaalaamukhee is the nearby Teerth and train goes from Delhi to Jalandhar.

(8) Pashupatinaath, Nepaal:
Devee's two knees fell here and the idols are Devee as Mahaashiraa and Shiv as Kapaalee.

(9) Maanav Kshetra (Field):
Devee's right hand or palm fell her and the idols are of Devee as Dakshayaanee (Durgaa) and Shiv as Amar (Immortal). Take train from Howrah station to Guskar station and then a few miles to Kogram. Mahaadev is considered Siddhi-daayak or provider of all wishes.

(10) Kireet: Bangalaa Desh
Devee's crown or headdress fell here and idols are Devee as Vimalaa (Pure) and Shiv as Sangbarta. Take the train to Ajeem Ganj. The temples are on the shore of the Ganges near Batnagar. (in Bangladesh?)

(12) Bahulaa:
Devee's left arm fell here and the idols are of Devee as Bahulaa (Abundant) and Shiv as Bheeruk (who is also Sarv Siddhi-daayak). Arrive at Katoa rail station and then go to Ketu Graam which is a pilgrimage.

(13) Ujjanee:
Devee's elbows fell here and the idols are of Devee as Mangal Chandee (Durgaa) and Shiv as Kapilaambar (one who wears the brown clothes). Shiv is Siddhi-daayak here.

(14) Tripuraa:
Devee's right foot fell here and the idols are of Devee as Tripurasundaree and Shiv as Tripuresh. Devee is grantor of all wishes or Sarvavisht Pradaayanee.

(15) Chattagram (also called Chattal): Bangalaa Desh
Devee's right arm fell here and the idols are Devee as Bhavaanee (Devee) and Shiv as Chandrashekhar (the one who has the Moon as the crown). It is said that Mahaadev has himself pronounced that he will visit Chandrashekhar mountain regularly during Kali Yug. This is near Seetaa Kund station. This is in Bangalaa Desh.

(16) Trisrot: West Bangaal, India
Devee's left feet fell here and the idols are Devee as Bhraamaree (Bumblebee) and Shiv as Eeshwar (God). On the banks of Tista river in Shalbaree village in Jalpaiguree district in West Bengal

(17) Kaamaakhyaa (or Kaamroop): Assam, India
Devee's Yoni fell here and the idols are of Devee as Kaamaakhyaa (personification of love) and Shiv as Umaanand. This is near Gauhaatee in the state of Assam on the banks of the Brahmaputra River (the son of Brahmaa). The Temple is on top of the Neelaachal Hill. This is a famous pilgrimage for women seeking fertility or love. The temple is supposedly built by Kaamdev, the god of love. The Umananda temple is nearby on an islet in the river. It has many pet monkeys.

(19) Kaaleeghaat (Calcutta): West Bangaal, India
Devee's four small toes from her right foot fell here and the idols are of Devee as Kaalee and Shiv as Nakulesh or Nakuleshwar. Famous pilgrimage located in Calcutta in the state of West Bengal. Kaalee is a dark complexioned form of Shakti who has taste for blood and death. She rules over the cremation sites and is worshipped by devotees on a dark and moon less night. She is a popular deity of Bengal. Kaalee is the female version of Kaal or end of time.

(20) Prayaag (three rivers meet here): UP, India
Devee's ten fingers fell here and the idols are of Devee as Lalitaa (beautiful). Another name is Alopee and Shiv as Bhav. Near Trivenee Ghaat there is Bani Teerth Ghaat (Quay for boats). Allahabad is the train station.

(21) Jayantee: Bangaal, India
Devee's left thigh fell here and the idols are of Devee as Jayantee and Shiv as Kramadeeshwar. In Bangaal near Sri Hatta.

(22) Utkal: Orissa, India
Devee's navel fell here and the idols are of Devee as Vimalaa (the pure one) and Shiv as Jagannaath (the ruler of the world). This is near the Jagannaath temple of Puree in the state of Orissaa.

(23) Vaaraanasee (Banaaras): UP, India
Devee's earrings (Kundal) fell here and the idols are Devee as Vishwa Lakshmee (the provider of wealth to all) and Shiv as Kaal (Time or the end of time). Famous pilgrimage in UP and one of the oldest cities in the world. The Puraan say that this city exists even after the Pralaya.

(24)Kanashram or Kalikaashram:
Devee's back fell here and the idols are of Devee as Sarvaani and Shiv as Nimish.

(25) Kurukshetra: (or fields belonging to the Kuru family where the battle of the Mahbharata was fought between the Kaurav and Paandav)
Devee's right ankle fell here and the idols are Devee as Saavitree and Shiv as Sthaanu or Ashwanaath.

(26) Manibandh:
Devee's middle of the palms fell here and the idols are of Devee as Gaayatree (Saraswatee) and Shiv as Sarvaanand (the one who makes everyone happy).

(27) Shrihatta:
Devee's nape of the neck fell here and the idols are of Devee as Mahaa Lakshmee (the goddess of prosperity and wife of Mahaa Vishnu) and Shiv as Sarvaanand (the one who makes everyone happy). Devee's temple is Near Shrihatta town and Shiv's temple is near Jainpur. Shiv Raatri and Ashok Ashtamee are celebrated with a Melaa (carnival). Take train from Calcutta to Goalanda and steamer to Kechua Ganj. Then either take a boat or walk about five miles (6 Kosh).

(28) Kaanchee Desh:
Devee's skeleton fell here and the idols are of Devee as Dev-garbhaa and Shiv as Ruru. Bolpur station to Kopar River banks. There is a well for worship.

(29) Kaal-maadhav:
Devee's right hips fell here and the idols are of Devee as Kaalee (another form of Durgaa) and Shiv as Asitaanand. By praying to the Devee profusely pilgrims can obtain their desires.

(30) Sone (near Sone River):
Devee's left hips fell here and the idols are of Devee as Narmadaa and Shiv as Vadrasen.

(31) Raamgiri (or Chitrakoot Mountain): MP, India
Devee's left breast fell here (another opinion is that her Naal or Jaghanasti fell here) and the idols are of Devee as Shivaanee (the wife of Shiv) and Shiv as Chand. Near Bilaaspur station and a walk of 2 miles.

(32) Vrindaa Van: UP, India
Devee's hair fell here and idols are of Devee as Umaa (Devee) and Shiv as Bhootesh (or provider of all desires). Playground of Lord Krishn and the Gopee. The Van or forest or garden is where the young Krishn grew up in the home of Yashodaa the wife of a cow herd. Krishn was capable of amazing feats and saved the village from many perils such as the Naag Kaaliya and the great rage of Indra by holding up a mountain above the village. But his time was mostly spent with the beautiful Gopee or cow girls with whom he had many affairs. The principal of illicit love is the basis of this aspect of philosophy where a person harbors a secret love for god which He cannot reveal to others.

(43) Ratnabalee:
Devee's right shoulder fell here and the idols are Devee as Kumaaree (Durgaa) and Shiv as Bhairav (Remover of fear).

(45) Nalahatee: Bangaal, India
Devee's vocal pipe fell here and the idols are of Devee as Kalikaa (Durgaa) and Shiv as Yogesh. By train from Howrah station.

(47) Vakreshwar:
Devee's mind or the centre of the brows fell here and the idols are of Devee as Mahish-mardinee (the slayer of Mahishasur or Durgaa) and Shiv as Bakranath. Near Ahmedpur station. There are seven hot springs and also the Paap-har (remover of sins) river. The Mahaa-Muni Ashtaavakra found enlightenment here. On Shiv Raatri (night) there is a grand Melaa (fete) here.

(50) Nandeepur:
Devee's necklace fell here and the idols are Devee as Nandinee and Shiv as Nandikeshwar.

(51) Hingulaya: Paakistaan
Devee's mind or brain fell here and the idols are Devee as Kottaree (Durga) and Shiv as Bheemlochan (Terrible eyed or the third eye). The location is in a cave on the western part of Pakistaan near Karaachee.

 

Vaidyanaath:
Devee's heart fell here and the idols are of Devee as Jaya Durgaa (Victorious Durgaa) and Shiv as Vaidyanaath. It is in Bihaar. Joshidee is the train station.

Magadh:
Devee's right thigh fell here and the idols are of Devee as Sarvaanandaree and Shiv as Bomkesh. Inside Shrihatta at Jayantipargana near the base of the Kahshia mountain Devee's legs are placed here. Srihatta to Kanairghat by boat and then walk 2 miles. In West Bengal.

Khirgram:
Devee's right toe fell here and the idols are Devee as Yogadaya and Shiv as Ksheer-kanth. Take Eastern Indian Railway to Bardavaan station. Take Bardavaan Katoa Rail to Nigam station. Nigam station to Khirgram (village) is 2 miles. A Melaa (fete) is held during Vaishaakh Sankranti.

Jessore:
Devee's centre of the hands fell here and the idols are Jessoreshwaree and Shiv as Chand (Moon or the one who holds the Moon).

Virat:
Devee's small toes of the feet fell here and idols are Devee as Ambika and Shiv as Amrita (nectar of immortality).

Bivasa:
Devee's left ankle fell here and the idols are of Devee as Bheemaroop and Shiv as Sarvaanand.

Jwaalaamukhee:
Devee's tongue fell here and the idols are Devee as Ambikaa (Mother) and Shiv as Unmatta (Furious). This is located near Jallandhar in Panjaab.

Sugandhaa or Sunandaa:
Devee's nose fell here and idols are Devee as Sunanadaa (Pleasing) and Shiv as Tryambak (Rudra). In the state of Bangaal near Barishal in Shivhari Karpur village. Devee's Temple is located and Shiv's Temple is in a village called Ponaabalia, nearest railway station is Jhalkatee.

On Bhairav Mountain (near Avantee):
Devee's upper lips fell here and idols are of Devee as Avantee (Modest) and Shiv as Lambakarn (Long eared one). It is located near Ujjain.

Attahaas (laughter) :
Devee's lower lips fell here and the idols are Devee as Phullaraa (Blooming) and Shiv as Bhairabh Visheshya (Lord of the Universe). The place is in Bangaal near Beerbhoom. Image of Devee and the Shiv Temple is next to the Devee Temple. It is a major pilgrimage and tourist attraction.

Prabhaas:
Devee's stomach fell here and the idols are of Devee as Chandrabhaagaa (Throne of the Moon) and Shiv as Vakratund (the one with the bent staff). This is near Mumbai where a launch goes to Bharoal which is near Prabhaas.

Janasthaan:
Devee's chin fell here and the idols are of Devee as Bhraamari (female Bumble bee or attendant of Durgaa) and Shiv as Vakrakataaksh (one with the crooked eyes or look). Other names are Devee as Chibuk (the one with the chin) and Shiv as Sarvasiddhish (the one who can provide with all desires).

Godaavaree (River):
Devee's left cheek fell here and the idols are of Vishwa Maatuk (mother of the world) and Shiv as Dandapaani (the one who holds a staff).

Gandakee (River):
Devee's right cheek fell here and the idols are of Devee as Gandakee Chandee (the one who overcomes obstacles or Gandee) and Shiv as Chakrapaani (Holder of the discus). Famous pilgrimage.

Shuchi Desh:
Devee's upper teeth fell here and the idols are of Devee as Naaraayanee (the wife of Naaraayan) and Shiv as Sanhaar.

Panch Saagar -
Devee's lower teeth fell here and the idols are Devee as Barahee and Shiv as Mahaarudra (the angry one).

Bhavaaneepur or Karotaa (river):
Devee's left seat or her clothing fell here and idols are of Devee as Aparnaa (the one who ate nothing, not even leaves) and Shiv as Bhairabh (Destroyer of fear). The King of Nator and his grandson the Mahaaraajaa Ramakrishna used to meditate here. The seat, the Yogna Kund and five skulls are still here. In the month of Vaishaakh according to the Bangaalee calendar, there is a large fete or Mela here to celebrate Raam Navamee or Deepanbita.

Shri Parvat or Shri Mountain:
Devee's right seat fell here and the idols are of Devee as Shree Sundaree (beautiful) and Shiv as Sundaraanand (the handsome one).

Karnat:
Devee's two ears fell here and the idols are of Devee as Jaya Durgaa (the victorious Durgaa) and Shiv as Avirook.

Mithilaa:
Devee's left shoulder fell here and the idols are of Devee as Mahaa Devee (Devee) and Shiv as Mahodar (the big bellied one). This is near Janakpur station.
