Taadakaa

Taadakaa was the daughter of Suketu Yaksh and was the wife of Sund (son of Jambhaasur). She had two sons Maareech and Subaahu. Raam killed Subaahu when He went to protect Vishwaamitra's Yagya, but left Maareech alive. He was killed when he was in exile, and was living in Panchvatee. Raavan wanted to abduct Seetaa so he sent him in the form of a golden deer, seeing which Setaa sent Raam to bring him. Raam went to bring him and as He shot the arrow to kill him, he cried in Raam's voice "Haa Seetey, Haa Lakshman" and died. Hearing this Seetaa sent Lakshman to help Raam, and during this time Raavan abducted Seetaa to Lankaa. Taadakaa was also killed by Raam when He was protecting Vishwaamitra's Yagya.

Was this Sund different from Sund and Upasund one, because Sund and Upasund were the sons of Nikumbh, and he is the son of Jambhaasur.

Taadakaa was the daughter of Suketu Yaksh who prayed Brahmaa Jee to give him a son, but instead he gave him a daughter with 1,000 elephants power. Normally Yaksh are not so powerful, but she had this strength through the Var. First Suketu was childless, so he did severe Tap to get a child. Pleased with him Brahmaa Jee gave him a daughter with 1,000 elephants' strength. He did not give him a son. When she grew up, he married her to Jambhaasur's son Sund.

Later she gave birth to a son named Mareech who became a Raakshas because of a Shaap. When Sund was killed by Agastya Muni' Shaap, Taadakaa, along with her son Maareech, started eliminating Muni. Seeing this Agastya Jee first cursed Maareech to be Raakshas and then to Taadakaa to be a monster-like and a man-eater. So because being angry with Agastya Muni she started troubling the people in that area in which Muni Agastya was living. She was killed by Raam when He was taken by Vishwaamitra to protect his Yagya at the age of only 16.
