Bheem-2
1. Bheem's Childhood, and Young Bheem Before Exile When Paandav were still in hiding, Draupadee's Swayamvar took place and Paandav went there to attend it. Arjun fulfilled the condition to marry her and thus Draupadee was married to her, but by Kuntee's saying unknowingly, she became the wife of all five Paandav. Draupadee's Swayamvar and her marriage to Paandav opened the secret of Paandav, that they were alive. They were called to Hastinaapur, the kingdom was divided and somehow they were given Khaandav Van area to rule. With great efforts they habited their capital Indra Prasth there. Maya Daanav built a beautiful Divine royal court for Yudhishthir. In that court there seemed door where there was a wall, there seemed water where there was dry floor, and there seemed dry floor where there was water etc. Bheem in Yudhishthir's Raajsooya Yagya Somebody suggested that he regarded Braahman very much so Krishn, Bheemsen and Arjun should go there in disguise of Braahman and ask for a fight in alms. Eventually he will recognize all of them, but he won't fight with Arjun because he would take him as an archer, he wouldn't fight with Krishn because he has already defeated Him 17 times, now remains Bheem. He would get ready to fight with him. And only Bheem can defeat him, because Bheem also had 10,000 elephants' strength as Jaraasandh had. So they went to Magadh Desh in disguise of Braahman. When Jaraasandh saw them, he welcomed them and asked "What can I do to please you?" Krishn said - "We are not here to ask for any money, or land, or clothes, or food etc. We want that you accept one of us for a duel fight." Then Jaraasandh saw them carefully and said - "If I am not wrong I have seen you somewhere." Then Krishn said - "You are right. We are not Braahman. This is Arjun, this is Bheem, and I am Krishn." Jaraasandh said - "Yes, That is what I was thinking. As you wish. I don't want to choose you Krishn, because I have already defeated you 17 times. This Arjun is a child for me. Yes, I can accept Bheem to fight with." So they came out of the city and started fighting. Both were mighty, both were of almost of equal strength. No one was able to defeat the other one so soon. This fight continued for 28 days. In the day time they fought and in the night they behaved normally. Then Bheem said to Krishn - "This man is very mighty, I cannot kill him like this, we will have to do something else." Then Krishn told him the way to kill him, that he should part him pulling his legs apart and throw them on opposite sides. So next day Bheem did the same thing and thus Jaraasandh was killed by Bheemsen. Jaraasandh had imprisoned 86 kings, Krishn released them all and crowned his son as the King and came back to Indra Prasth. Then only Yudhishthir could do his Raajsooya Yagya. Duryodhan's Jealousy, His Mischiefs, and Bheem's Vows Besides, he visited Yudhishthir's royal court also. When he was wandering in the court, he fell in the water thinking it as dry floor, and hit his head on a wall thinking it as a door. Seeing all this Bheem, Arjun, Nakul and Sahadev all laughed heartily. Duryodhan could not tolerate their laugh and came back grinding his teeth. He was burning in the fire of insult till he came back to Hastinaapur. [MBH, Sabhaa Parv, Section 46] When Yudhishthir came to know about this incident he felt very bad and said only - "It will be good for us if we do the Praayashchit of this in this life only." There Duryodhan planned to take revenge from Paandav. With the consultation of his Shakuni Maamaa he organized Chausar game (a dice game) and asked his father to send this invitation to Yudhishthir. Dhritraashtra sent Vidur Jee to invite them for Chausar. Vidur Jee went there and said in between the lines that it was not advisable to go there. But Yudhishthir was the son of Dharm Raaj, how could he tolerate injustice, so all had to go to Hastinaapur to play the game. As game started, Yudhishthir lost his treasury, kingdom, brothers, himself and even his wife Draupadee. Duryodhan insulted the family daughter-in-law like anything. He said - "Since Draupadee is now my maid-servant she will sit in my laps." It was only Bheem who vowed that he would break his thigh on which he has asked Draupadee to sit upon. After that Duryodhan ordered Dushaasan to bring her in the court by pulling her hair and to pull her dress cloth until she was naked. Dushaasan did it. He brought Draupadee by pulling her loose hair and disrobed her. After this Draupadee did not tie her hair saying that she would tie them only after wshing them with the blood of Dushaasan's heart. At that time also, it was only Bheem who vowed to bring blood of Dushaasan's heart so that Draupadee could wash her hair with it and tie them. (She had left her hair loose since then. See " Paandav Lose the Game") Soon after this, in the court itself, Bheem took another vow to kill Dhritraashtra's all 100 sons. Somehow Draupadee got everything back from Dhritraashtra whatever Yudhishthir lost. Seeing this Duryodhan got very angry that his plan failed. When Paandav were going back to Indraprasth, Duryodhan asked Dhritraashtra to stop Paandav for another game. In spite of explaining to Duryodhan, that he should not behave with his cousins like that, he didn't listen to him. At last Dhritraashtra had to ask them to stay back for another game. This time the condition was "Whoever will lose, will go to 12 years of Vanvaas (exile) and the 13th year of A-Gyaatvaas (incognito). And if the loser was recognized in his A-Gyaatvaas period he would have to go for another 13 years. Paandav lost this game also.
