2-Varg-Introduction-2

The Jyotish is the study of cosmic effects of Graha (Planets) that impact everyone in geocentric mode. So to study those effects we make chart for birth time (Natal Chart), based on the Moon and the Sun's positions, normally viewed as helio-centric. The need arises to study these planets in order to understand cosmic effects. Planets are always in a motion in a horizon and that part of the movements we study with basic knowledge of astronomy as needed to understand Astrology. Certainly it is not mathematical divisions of Lagna chart. Certain patterns of construction have been made out for divisional charts (Varg Charts) that help to get us awareness.

From D1 to D12 charts about physical and primary indications.
The next level of charts, from D-16 to D-24 are meant to explore conscious level indications.
Beyond this levels of consciousness vary from sub-conscious to super-consciousness in D-60.

Of all these Divisional Charts, D-30 chart, when taken up helps us to analyze the 3rd level of sub-consciousness and the troubles that arise from minds and the thoughts that emanate from there. Varaah Mihir, when he has not accepted the mathematical one division, it has many factors to take note of to understand the higher arc levels given to Mercury and Jupiter. If Jupiter is the Kaarak for wisdom and Mercury is the Kaarak for intelligence. Between them they have significance for 10th House in a chart as well as the 4th one shared by the Moon and Mercury. These houses and their Lords as Kaarak, play vital role to have a different higher arc for Mercury 8 and Jupiter 7.

First and foremost we must understand it's objectivity and get convinced. These are more or less constructs that helps in our basic understanding of human cycle represented through divisional charts at various levels. To be concise, if you are trying to analyze the 6th House, known as Ripu (enemy), Rin (debt) and Rog (disease) House, and we know these are represented through Mars and Saturn on a broad level. For better understanding one can study Trinshaansh.

Navaansh Chart is good for quality of marriage, and the next portion of our life. Vishnu Himself resides in the 9th House and Lakshmee resides in 5th House ; the 2 most benefic houses. Thus Lakshmee and Naaraayan together represent the perfect couple i.e. Vishnu. Vishnu means "no vish at all." Lakshmee and Naaraayan are complete and perfect. Chanting "Om Namo Naaraayanaaya" is beneficial in preserving and protecting marriage.

Use of Varg Charts
(1) Shad Varg Charts are used for Muhoort purposes (D-1, D-2, D-3. D-9, D-12, D-30)
(2) Sapt Varg Charts are used for predicting the general events of life of natives as it includes Saptaansh chart indicating progeny.(D-1, D-2, D-3, D-7, D-9, D-12, and D-30)
(3) Dash Varg Charts are useful to access professional excellence. This group includes charts (D-1, D-2, D-3, D-7, D-9, D-10, D-12, D-16, D-30 and D-60). In this scheme maximum weight is given to D-1 and D-60 charts. BPHS says that D-10 chart is considered for "Mahat Phalam". The learned savants translated this word according to their own whims and fancy. (As BPHS Says that D-2 indicates Sampatti (wealth) it was translated as wealth. However this word indicates all means of sustenance). In fact D-10 Varg chart is constructed based on the principle of 1st , 9th and 10 Houses. As such it indicates all round prosperity including periods of excellence in profession.
(4) Shodash Varg Charts - This group includes all the 16 Varg and more indicative for the person on high positions.
