Whenever Saturn/Mars are together in any house, they act as Yam Raaj (except in 9H).
Such natives face death like conditions in their lives at some or the other time.
One with Taurus Lagna, had this combination in Libra in 6H. He was murdered with his spouse by thieves at the age of about 72 yrs.
A native of Libra Lagna, also had this combination in 8H. He was very seriously ill and Doctors could save him with great difficulty.

On the other hand, this combination in 9H acts like Dharm Raaj, who is the controller of events.

Are you referring to natal charts or in transit and if you are referring to natal charts, what about Sa + Ma Yuti in transit - do they give the same effect?

I have also found same conclusion. Even I have sometimes found that if Saturn is aspecting Mars or Mars is aspecting Saturn or Mars and Saturn are in Yuti in Navaansh I see the same results (At the time of transits this is more likely). Sometimes this is also winning combination if placed very nicely like in 3rd and 11th Houses.
