Transit charts or Gochar charts are mainly meant to find good and bad for that day or for any work one takes up which is very important including travel etc.

Secondly, Astrologer cast Prashn chart out of the transit / Gochar taking place at that when he has to analyze / understand and find success or failure. This is more or less Horaa chart otherwise Prashn Chart.

Many astrologer impose natal chart on transit or Gochar chart and find the Dashaa as how they can help in fulfilling results.

Transit charts are used mainly for the purpose of outer planets like Jupiter, Saturn, Nodes (Raahu and Ketu) and Mars influence on the natal chart and Dashaa. It is to be read in conjunction with natal chart.

Media projects the predictions by going through transit charts and make Raashi predictions based on Moon predictions and with the analysis of stellar forces.

Transit charts are also studied based on Sun's movement through 12 signs - for Varsh Phal purpose in Taajak method. This is also related to natal chart for analysis purpose and results are seen thereof.
